Jarred and Leah have a wonderful two-story row home in New Jersey. The home has a great classic charm with original hardwood floors, crown molding, and amazing turn of the century features throughout. The kitchen is another story - it's tiny, poorly laid out, and totally uninviting. We came up with some creative ways to make the space feel bigger and function better, including a custom window over the sink, a mirrored backsplash, and a breakfast bar that folds away against the wall.

This project was a nearly full-home renovation. Home to a single mom, our first goal was to create a master bedroom that would be a personal sanctuary, with clean white linens, a cozy reading nook, and a fun, punchy wall color. Downstairs, we unified the spaces with a cozy, beachy, modern theme. Gray kitchen cabinets play off the dark grout and white subway tiles; the dining room is outfitted with ample space for entertaining; and the living room is given a modern update with the new focal point being the crisp white fireplace on the blue wall.

After being destroyed in Hurricane Sandy, this Jersey Shore beach home makeover led to a space that puts as much emphasis on function as it does design. The kitchen boasts contemporary, sleek cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, with a sea glass backsplash. A glass top table in the dining room is the perfect way to show off its traditional legs given new life with blue high-gloss paint. The living room continues the open, airy feel with white couches, a traditional fireplace mantel given the same blue-paint treatment, and some wood and leather accents to warm it all up. The picture frame air conditioner brings in discreet functionality. Polished concrete floors are easy to clean, while the glass doors open up to a backyard perfect for entertaining, complete with an outdoor kitchen, pizza oven, and bocce court.

In our typical style, we started out by removing a structural wall and installing a new beam to support the roof. The beam was left exposed to introduce organic texture. This theme is continued in the custom dining table built from 110 year old beams and local Pittsburgh steel components. Contemporary lines and big pops of color make this family space fun and sophisticated.

This home belongs to a young New Jersey couple whose home was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy. As first responders, this couple sacrificed their own well-being for that of others, so this was our opportunity to give back. We worked with The Ellen DeGeneres Show to create a fun, young, yet stylish space, perfect for entertaining family and friends. By mixing a beachy feel with contemporary design, we were able to capture this youthful, energetic couple's personality in a home they can enjoy for a lifetime.

When this couple had a spare room upstairs, they decided to add it on to their master bedroom for the ultimate master suite. The bedroom was given a major facelift with the addition of a fireplace and claw foot tub. The new bathroom boasts double sinks and a large walk-in shower. The walk-in closet has ample space for storing clothes and accessories, dressing, and applying makeup with natural light.

The Orlando family lives in a small condo, where their main issue is with the safety and function of the one-size-fits-all kitchen that the builders installed. We opened up the space by removing the cheap granite countertop and substituting it with a one-piece stainless steel one. We created more storage space with custom Italian cabinets that reach the full height of the ceiling. To tie the living room to the kitchen, we installed a large wall mural of an image of Grand Central Station, where Claudia Orlando's father once did restoration work.

The homeowners of this house wanted to maintain the open feeling of their space, but add a little more distinction between the different zones of the first floor. By adding a structural half wall with custom shelving, we combined design and function. A stone fireplace flanked by arched windows is the main focal point of the living room, where we custom-fit a TV into the shelving of the half wall. In the kitchen, a large island offers extra prep space as well as plenty of seating. French doors and tons of windows add natural light, and twin chandeliers add ambiance. Traditional lines define the custom cabinetry which houses all of the kitchen's appliances, and a pantry with a frosted glass provides extra storage.

Anthony Pino is a successful Hoboken chef who aspired to have a more modern and functional kitchen at home, while his wife Liz was all about having a space that looks like it's from the pages of a magazine: an all white kitchen, complete with a honed marble countertop. We designed this kitchen to satisfy a chef's every need while also looking and feeling like a well-appointed, lived-in home.

We converted this 4 family brownstone into 4 condominium units, while also expanding it to the rear for additional square footage within each unit. Additionally, we added 200 sq foot decks on the rear of each of the upper floors and a 1,000 sq foot private yard at the garden level. We rebuilt & reattached a period correct cornice and restored the facade to respect its historic origins.

We converted the old Calco Chemical Co. (built 1915) from a vacant, deteriorated, 3 story warehouse to a fully restored warehouse structure with a 2 story contemporary addition. We completed all necessary structural work in house, as well as all rough framing.

When we first came on to this project, the homeowners had already knocked down parts and allowed the cabinets to fall apart. To accommodate the appliances and cabinets the owners already purchased, we planned a big and bold design scheme. Sleek white cabinets, gray countertops, and stainless appliances are given life against a bright red backsplash. A large island provides plenty of prep space as well as a place to gather and eat, and double ovens and a deep-fryer make this the ultimate cook's kitchen.
